The Holy Zohar

The Molcho Edition

“And the wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament.”

וְהַמַּשְׂכִּילִים יַזְהִירוּ כְּזֹהַר הָרָקִיעַ

(Daniel 12:3)

The Holy Zohar, the crown of all hidden wisdom, was revealed to Israel through the Divine Tanna, Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai — may his merit illuminate us, Amen — the holy luminary of Israel, whose light has never ceased to shine upon all generations. From its revelation onward, this sacred work was transmitted in secrecy and holiness, passed from friend to friend (chaverim), those bound together in the fellowship of the inner wisdom, preserving the light of its mysteries for those worthy to receive it. After it was brought forth to the public by the holy kabbalist Rabbi Moshe de Leon — may his merit protect us, the Zohar was preserved in handwritten manuscripts, copied and studied only by the most select sages of Israel. The divine illumination contained within its words is so great that our sages taught that the final Redemption of Israel depends upon the study of this holy book, as it is said:

“With this book of yours (The Zohar), the Children of Israel will be redeemed from exile with mercy.”
(Zohar Naso, Daf 124b)

In later generations, printed translations appeared, but many were incomplete, censored, or altered—deviating from the authentic tradition of our holy masters. Especially in the sacred passages concerning the Primordial Mystery of Mashiach, revealed at the beginning of Bereshit (Daf 15a), much was obscured or removed, leaving many readers disconnected from the radiant soul of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai. Therefore, this present work, The Molcho Edition, was undertaken for the sake of Heaven—to restore the Zohar to its pristine form and transmit its divine light to all who seek the secret of Hashem. For the first time in history, the complete and unabridged Holy Zohar is presented in English alongside the original Aramaic text, preserving the traditional Daf pagination used in the Beit Midrash by those who study the Zohar in holiness. Nothing has been omitted. Nothing concealed. The Molcho Edition stands as a faithful restoration of the original structure and soul of the Zohar, allowing the light of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai to shine once more in full brilliance—awakening the hearts of Israel and fulfilling the words of Daniel:

“And the wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who bring righteousness to the multitudes, like the stars forever and ever.”
וְהַמַּשְׂכִּילִים יַזְהִירוּ כְּזֹהַר הָרָקִיעַ וּמַצְדִּיקֵי הָרַבִּים כַּכּוֹכָבִים לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד

May it be the will of the Holy One Blessed be He that through the light of this work- the Molcho Edition - the teachings of the Zohar spread throughout the entire world, and through them, may the Redemption of Israel be hastened with mercy and joy, speedily in our days, Amen.
